    Philips releases 499P9H 49-inch SuperWide curved monitor

    Screen ratio is 32:9 and is equivalent to a seamless 2x 27-inch QHD monitor setup.

    Thought it would have higher price, but with VA and 70hz seems appropriate.

    this certainly has its need, I can think of a few industries where they could make good use of this in their control rooms.

    Nice and big. . .but it would be nice if it was taller, more pixels vertically.

    I've had three monitor setups before that meant I was moving my neck around all day and actually led to a sore neck. For normal use I find one monitor to the front and a second to the side is almost as good in terms of the amount of information in front of me but easier on the neck.

    For gaming just get a VR headset, way more than 180 degrees and the head tracking is awesome.
