Why?
人无完人,金无足赤
These are just going to be binned processors with a slightly higher boost or something but might well appeal to the hobbyist overclockers or to the hardcore AMD fans. Given the price doesn't seem anywhere near as silly as Intel's anniversary chips, I don't doubt they'll sell.
It's also a marketing strategy to increase brand awareness.
And because all companies try to believe they're amazing, special and worthy of celebration.
I guess the only sad part is that it's got a default Wraith Prism. It is a lovely cooler, as OEM go, but would have ben nice to see a bigger more effective cooler with these specials

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
Maybe they will give them a gold hue...
Anyone want a GIGABYTE X470 AORUS GAMING 7 WIFI-50 (rev. 1.1) AMD 50th Anniversary motherboard to go with the above?
I'm just about to buy a 2700 non x version as it's currently £70+ cheaper than the X version. With my Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler I'll overclock it to X version numbers and spend the saved money on a decent X470 mobo.
