4.5GHZ Boost!!!
...all 30 seconds of it.
Yeh, I was thinking that. Lower boosts that last longer would make a lot more sense in a gaming laptop. Perhaps not so much in a productivity system where you just want it to load word or photoshop fast but a gaming system wants sustained performance, not 30 seconds of blazing before turning into a small star.
"PC Specialist's svelte Recoil III GTX manages to keep temperatures in check, but doing so requires a combination of throttling and loud fan speeds."
Can we get some actual numbers? or is the loudness and throttling measured with a banana?

It throttles at 75C? That's low, isn't it?
Depends on where you're taking the measurement. 75C at the CPU core might be a little low. 75C on the baws however....
Also useful in assessing throttling would the Tau value. These manufacturers will be setting it based on R&D so comparing how long it'll boost for could be very useful and give a good idea of the thermals as established by the manufacturer.
