I could be tempted by a oneplus 7 pro and that sim only deal....but might wait for a bit - don't really *need* 5G just yet and I think I can wait until i can find a better deal on a compatible phone.

Glad to see the tech finally launching though!

Given the issues EE have had this week, I wonder how many will care about 5g..

Re: EE says it will launch UK's first 5G service on 30th May

Considering I live only a few miles from Southampton and can only get reliable signal from one provider (EE) and even then not very well I won't be rushing to upgrade to 5g...
    Trust

I'd improve 4G coverage and infrastructure first. European countries have vastly superior 4G than here. It's fast enough if implemented properly.

Not really sure on what benefits are supposed to be had from 5G

Re: EE says it will launch UK's first 5G service on 30th May

I would hope they would work on 4g coverage before looking at 5G. I switched from EE due to the useless signal. at my parents house i had to stay in one location and wait about 5 minutes just to send a text message. O2 has 4G in the entire house. same sort of situation at my previous property.

I find it quite funny how I originally switched from virgin mobile which used tmobile to orange due to the crap signal and then had to switch away from orange / EE due to the crap signal when they merged with Tmobile.
