I really wish they jumped over Zen+ and went straight to Zen 2 fobile parts as well, so much better power and performance with their current gen

Following the link to Asus's site, it seems that it is a typo.

Given AMD haven't released any Zen 2 mobile parts, nor even given official timelines for their release, I'm more than happy to see 12nm Zen+ APUs in current gen laptops....

I'm still happy, but wish they jumped/skipped Zen+ for the mobile parts, Zen 2 is such a better performer than previous designs. We won't get Zen 2 mobile parts till Zen 3 on their current release methods.

From a technological standpoint I can see where you're coming from, but that would've meant no new mobile parts for over 2 years - and it's not like Zen+ is shabby at 15W: it's tuned for really good low-power performance. We don't yet know how well Zen 2 scales down to very low TDPs....
