erm £449 for this or £30 more for a 2070 Super? I'll take the nVidia anyday, ESPECIALLY when its this close

Nice, but i got the red devil instead, with as i recall same performance numbers ( MHZ )
And that's not going to change anytime soon, actually i would have to win a +1080p monitor at Hexus to ever entertain that idea.

Articles need a cost comparison chart so you can see what you're up against in the bang4buck.

Either that or you know..bring back bang4buck..

Re: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+

Here the red devil are a little cheaper than this that just popped up where i got mine, the Gigabyte OC card with a similar style 3 fan cooler are on the other hand a little cheaper than my Red devil card.
This new sapphire card cost the same as the Asus TUF card, and the ROG asus card are outright the most expensive 5700XT card out of the 15 cards listed where i got mine.
The ROG asus are 71 GBP more expensive than my red devil.

Re: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+

Any chance of actually releasing reviews on the rest of the 5700/5700XT Cards? Still waiting on reviews before spending cash (and getting pretty close to turning my back on gaming)...

"getting pretty close to turning my back on gaming"

I did that about a decade ago, or rather was forced to as the companies stopped making games as i like them.
BUT ! i am still hopeful for a revival of the old uncomplicated just join and play games, just hope it will be soon cuz i am not getting any younger, already at a age where my twitch are not as fast as it use to be.
I couldn't care less for the look or bling on my gun, of if my character are "special" with some paid for stupid stuff.
I just want to run & gun, and in this day and age have random generated maps, and the only realism i want are the environment in the game, would love to make new paths thru a map with C4 packs or other explosive do dats.

Sounds like you should be gaming a bit less and reading a lot more

Re: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+

"Just over 2 slots", so, what you're really saying, it's a three slot card, because you can't put anything else in that third slot.

I really want a 5700XT, but finding one that will fit into two slots, doesn't have a blower cooler, doesn't have the power connector on the edge of an extended board (so the plug jams against the case side), and doesn't cost more than a 2070 Super is proving nigh impossible. Yet, most of the nvidia cards tick all these boxes - I don't want to be a fan boy!

For those that are into virtualization there is the amd reset bug which is still present with amd cards. Apparently there is a fix but will only be applied to navi cards

Re: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+

I want to like the 5700 XT but I keep seeing posts about people having problems with the drivers just as I have done in the past with AMD. Now I have seen the Aorus 2070 super I can't stop wanting it but at nearly £600 I can't bring myself to pull the trigger. Conflicted.

    I'm tempted by this one:
    https://www.scan.co.uk/products/powe...-graphics-card

About the same price as a reference design, but with a proper open cooler that's a true two slots (and it doesn't extend much above the top of the PCI bracket, if you have a tight case). It's too cheap to get sent out for reviews though, all the manufacturers want to push their higher models

Re: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+

If you had a freeysnc monitor, this would be perfect!
I had the Vega 64 LC & that was fluid with a freesyn monitor
And this Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+ is faster than the Vega 64 LC
But I play FPS, so I need the speed, so I swapped the Vega 64 LC for a lovely 27" IPS Gsync monitor
And then I bought a 1080 ti KiNGPiN
And I am smiling everytime I play my games
For fluid gameplay, buy an AMD card & freesync monitor, but for more frames, buy a nVidia card with a gSync monitor

Is it supported in Hackintosh, that would be my only concern.
