Okay it is official, my DDR4 3600 RAM feel slow.
Wake me up when we get some decent nx16GB or even better the nx32GB sets with decent ram speeds. The G-skill in another thread is a nice start (price allowing) but still...
Hmm... looking at the spreader, I wonder if this'll mount on my gun's 20mm rail for the ultimate in tactical epeen.
I would take 8 PSC 32 Gb modules, even with a lackluster timing, cuz remembering the timing on my DDR RAM anything newer are lackluster.
BUT ! i will have to settle for 8 PCS 8 Gb modules to surround my TR4 processor.
BUT if i score big in the lotto tonight, ima going shopping for dream hardware. :-),,,,, and a lot of other stuff of dreams.
Most CPU air coolers won't have the clearance to add those ram coolers anyway.
and my setup struggles past 2400 mhz....
Oh well. the nvme ssd makes it ok
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
The default speed for DDR5 will be 5000 Mhz. Just wait for that.
I'm not sure what Corsair are thinking but I'm sure there will be some out there who get the kits for review and the bad points, too expensive I'm sure will come up...
I'm sure that the performance differences between 2133Mhz and 5000Mhz isn't worthy of over 12 times the cost in the RAM.. I understand speed/performance comes at a bit of a premium but that's just taking it a little too far...
There's a point to having the speed where the returns are just not worth it... I'm guessing anything past 4000Mhz is that point roughly??
Personally, I'd rather go for double or quadriple the quantity and have some decent 3200Mhz to 3600Mhz RAM instead...
