One-year warranty...
Compatible with existing Z390 motherboards... can't find a sarcasm emoji for that one!
Wasn't this already announced or just leaked?
"Mega Tasking" - pfft, marketing buzzwords, love 'em
"35% more FPS compared to a 3-year old PC" - you know what, I'd love to see a comparison because apart from core count it's the same uArch and most skylake generations can clock to 5GHz anyway
I'm loving Intel marketing right now, it literally is a child with crayons going "itz duh berst!"
I would be worried if it wasn't faster than a 6700K.
No mention at all as to *why* it is special. No improved thermal interface, no extra + on the 14nm process, so I take it this is just a factory overclocked part from the raised TDP and lowered warranty. We always expected Intel to play to their clock speed strength, but I was expecting more.
I typed this but PCs using IE as a browser with processors from the Windows Vista era do not make for effective.....anything and it went astray.
I bet if AMD wasn't Zenning then this chip would be a grand and only do all core 5GHz whilst connected to a fridge.
There's probably a Terminator 2 meme in there somewhere with Intel's chip being the T1000, the molten steel being Intel's stock cooler and the broken liquid nitrogen tanker being the recommended cooling for optimum performance. You could then take it too far with Arnie being AMD and his bullet to the frozen T1000 being Zen.
Now this time, I'll copy the post, ready to paste again when it loses it. Which is manipulating sod's law into making it work this time.

This is intels 9590... we are losing so just max the tdp and overclock.
Considering the new TDP that just sounds like a chip that's been binned and pre-overclocked
Kyle says that's all it is, yep. It's still a good ploy by Intel to pander to the enthusiast market, who are going to be leaving them for 16 core Ryzens in their immediate future. How many 1151 platforms will there be now, four? My B350 can run a 16 core Ryzen 3 today.

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
so its at edge of process tech, ramped up best of the best chips... that hold on barely in that J bit of the curve where power usage gets you barely any more speed.
basically. golden samples you pay top dollar for in order to have some bragging rights.
Sigh. rather sad. Come back in 2022 intel. when you have your process tech under control. And a better designed spectre proof chip.
