futurama anyone ?
Doesn't seem comfortable at all... All their weight is on the front and is directly supported by the nose... If common eyeglasses can get uncomfortable, imagine that.
I really can't see how they're gonna solve that.
But they look daft..
I put some money into the Human Capable units, Norm, if you have anyone at the show that can swing by their booth and have a look at where they are at with the v1 units, which we'll not get as they're now on v2, which is thinner, has 32gb storage, BT5 over 4.1 and probably a few other tweaks..
Depends how lightweight they end up.
Exciting stuff, though.
Will want to know more about FoV, focal type and resolution, tracking method, etc... oh, and price.
Also keen to test their claim of Screen-Door-free...!!

Here is something to think about:
We see these VR devices are getting smaller and smaller, with higher resolution and better sound.
Pretty soon, they will be like the size of eye lentils and maybe implants for a sound (I worked in a company that builds them).
Question is...what if that already happened and we are already in huge VR simulation that someone called "Vita".
The more you live, less you die. More you play, more you die. Isn't it great.
Prescription? Surely you wouldn't need glasses if the lenses are millimetres from your eyballs?
I quite like the look of them. Steampunky. Though like meuvoy said, they could get plenty heavy quickly. Perhaps the focus group will feed this back, and they make them super lightweight.
At this kind of size, ski goggle style straps would be better, surely.
Their apearance makes remember the steampunk style)
