    80 times? EIGHTY???!!!
Jeez, I'm really very far behind the average, aren't I...

I'd argue that repetitively opening and then closing immediately like that will generate unrealistic friction heat, like rapid repetitive bending of metal, which prematurely knackers the mechanism components. No-one (aside from an idle idiot) is going to repeatedly flip the phone open and closed like that...

So glad i am not a phone addict, those people just look so silly looking at their phone all the time, and to top that often by doing that endangering other people.

So far today i have had 1 phone interaction ( skimming news page while on toilet, and no interesting news so that was done in seconds. )

The Razr, clearly isn't going to be a keeper if it only lasts a year of 80 times a day

What would that be, I wonder...
OK, up at 8, bed at 2, that's 18hrs awake. 1,080 Nvidia-powered minutes in my day, over 80 checks, that's checking phone every 13.5 minutes.... What the hecky-flip could happen since you last looked at the world 13.5 minutes ago? OK, some stuff, admittedly. We all get occasional days where the proverbial hits the 120mm... but on a daily basis?

You don't really need to argue hard on that because it's true. That test is completely useless in all honesty.

The video shows them doing partial closures, which puts far more stress on the phone mechanism than a normal closure would. That closing mechanism is going to be under tension so that partial opening and closure will be putting more pressure onto the hinge system.

It would also generate heat and probably some sort of vibration damage too based on the way that was jarring the phone when it was in motion.

I'm also in the nowhere near 80 checks a day camp....
