    Ampere Altra 80-core Arm server processor now sampling

    Developed on TSMC N7 process the chip is said to be faster than a 64-core AMD Epyc CPU.

    An EPYC 7742 or faster would match the performance per rack for integer (maybe slightly higher power consumption). The AMD and Intel are probably better at FP seeing that it's not mentioned.

    That's a pretty big chip (well, 4 I guess it seems), but still. So 4 chiplets maybe? 20c each? Will wait for perf/reviews/price.
