Firefox - new address bar was instantly disabled (not the only one doing this either). Not only is it really poor design wise it also has a privacy issue where it might show sites you don't want people to see (ie nsfw ones) if you share your browser etc. It might be 'ok' on a mobile browser but it's really bad for the desktop imo. Reddit 'dev's' seem to be against any people saying they don't like it (with valid reasons for disliking it too) which doesn't exactly bode well for future updates.
Unfortunately it seems that Mozilla/Firefox is aiming to take our choice away with a future update by removing the about:config which disables it... against the wishes of most people on reddit/beta group etc who don't actually like this new address bar. It's always great when a company starts alienating their remaining clients by removing features they actually like...
Looks like I might be switching to MS edge chromium, or maybe waterfox (although I had issues with that in the past) because I sure won't be using chrome...
Surprised at how many use Chrome tbh, its almost like people have forgotten about Google mining data, or is it as I have said for a long time, people don't really care about privacy?

Sorry, most people, dont care about privacy...
They say they do, but then will happily drop an email address, or phone number into somewhere that will give them free stuff..
So far, it looks just like the old one but with bigger text. It might be due to some setting I have in about:config, but I'm not getting new search suggestions - I'm only getting ones from my history, which is how I like it. I do get search suggestions in the dedicated search bar, but I've always had those
Have they gotten anything to replace tabmix plus addon yet? Until then or some other multi-row tab app they are dead to me. I can't believe how bad it looks now. Mobile seems to be ruining everything desktop. OS (win8-10.x), browsers (all dumb now, massive losses in customization vs. old ones), even many websites etc.
I hate chrome, so basically hate all it's copycats too
Chrome is one of those browsers that I have installed on anything where I might need a second browser that updates in the background and just works. I find Chrome invasive (a lot of those people using it are doing so for convenience and not consider "where does that helpful feature come from?" and realising it comes from invading their privacy quite severely) and gaseous with respect to RAM - it'll occupy as much space as there is available for no extra content or utility.
I don't use pr0n sites so I'm not really worried about NSFW stuff coming up but I have a very distinct gap between work and personal stuff anyway. I don't reveal where I work even on Farcebook and put myself down as working for the "7th circle of hell".
