Yes!!
Edit!!
Also there is a typo - B540!
Also is "warn satisfaction" what was intended?
Acer should do the same with the Acer Predator Helios 500 PH517-61 (Ryzen 2700 and Vega 56) to allow Zen 2 and Zen 3 support along with high frequency RAM.
Please make it so!
Would be nice if the 4000 supported the 370x boards. But AMD themselves said a motherboard should be good for 3 generations. So can't see it, myself.
Either way, price drops on the 3xxx series will see me upgrade my 1700 to 3700 (or even a 3900).
No, no, no, no, NO! I've recently bought a 3900X and it can't be outdated so fast. No!
[insert standard buyer's remorse sobbing here]
So if this OEM is saying Ryzen 4000 is doable, now AMD is saying it's not doable?
Give it 6 months, when the chips are out and the OEM dev guys have had a tinker, it'll come with reduced functionality but we'll get it I reckon unless AMD have told them specifically not too.
The OEM updated their Reddit thread.
The OEM had to find out from the official news release, that it didn't work! AMD had told them through official channels B450 would work.
This seems like a really good way to burn bridges with your suppliers. I mean, are AMD really in a position to start abusing their new found power as the "Good guy".
If they mess up they won't just have burned bridges for their motherboards but GPU's too which seems dangerous. It's not like they have a secure place in the market like Intel or NVidia. They have just got back on the pedestal but they arent out of the woods yet
I really hope they back peddle on this, I have no vested interest in any brand but a strong AMD is what we need at the moment to help drive innovation from both the green and blue teams
