    Ah but someone else's 'leccy.

Minus the bribes, minus the hardware and specialist costs for malware deployment, minus the research time, minus the flights, hotels, etc....

...damn, I lost a lot of money.

I am not allowed to say, and not only for forum rules, in general what i think of hackers are too much for many people to deal with.

Bitcoin are pretty much evil in my book, i have never heard of anyone i know using it for a legitimate transaction.
Its always something bad when it is mentioned, so i dont get proper money will have anything to do with it, other than maybe its cuz bitcoin obscure all the problems that regular money have, such as giving the tax man his cut ASO

Article says that exploits were used to gain access via SSH. Also states other supercomputers in different countries were accessed in similar manner

Bitcoin isn't truly anonymous, so people are taking something of a risk if they're using it for nefarious means. There are alternatives such as Monero which provide better anonymity, if one should need it

I was just referring to the comment that bitcoin is solely used for illegal purposes.

Yup - I guessed as much. There is no distinction made between the actual cryptocurrency being mined and the actual generic term bitcoin
