Well... the marketing team have to sell the same things, over and over again, to the same people (While raising the price for something that could be standard on ALL tv sets).
"As low as 9.8ms"
I wonder what the average response time is and what, if any, sacrifices have to be made to achieve those kinds of response times.
Really wish it was possible to push this as an update to their QLED range. We paid quite a good chunk of money for our Samsung in 2018 and already it's feeling obsolete.
in all this marketing bull i'm struggling to identify [which] tv's are included in this gaming brand, or, how Jo public will be expected to recognise a samsung 'gaming' TV when they walk into Curry's...

It looks like Samsung's 2020 models are a downgrade compared with 2019 (from TV reviews by professional TV calibrators). They decided (pre-covid) to make their 2020 8K TVs their premium range. A risky strategy that looks like a big mistake now. So not surprised the marketing bods are desperately looking at ways to shif their TVs. Too late though. LG stole on a march on them with their upcoming 48 inch OLED model (collaborating with Nvidia).
It's the old fashioned "in a perfect scenario X is this low" combined with "in a perfect scenario Y is this big" not mentioning that to get X that low they had to severely compromise Y and vice versa.
The goal of the marketing team is to make you feel really good about purchasing something new and really bad that you purchased it a few months later. The only time you'll ever hear them talking about the problems with their product are when they've replaced it with something better and are using it as a comparison.
They'll buy whatever the nice, lying man tells them to buy.
Did I ever mention what happened when they tried to sell my dad a HDMI cable which was gold plated? He said it was "faster". So it plays your films in 1.25x? Excellent.
Or the time they tried to push the amazing mains filter on us? Their two comparison TVs were set up totally differently, one totally wrong with low contrast, etc and the other with optimal settings. Then we looked and found one was plugged in with SCART and one HDMI. The question he asked me was "so you won't be wanting the extended warranty on this telly then?"
I hate LIARS. Had it not been something of an act of desperation for my grandma, I'd have told them where to shove their telly and left.
"This screen splitting function allows you to game on one side of the screen and follow a favourite streamer on the other, for example." That'll be handy to stream snipe any twitch players .
Am i right in thinking QLED seems to be the answer to OLED's issues with burn-in? Just with having a HUD in most games i thought that might be an problem.
