Not having 1 big screen i think will be a win here, i simply dont have any faith in the folding screens.
The look and price of an Apple device with the wonky design and support of Microsoft. Sign me up!
This would've been cool 10 years ago
It's too expensive in all honesty.... someone pointed out somewhere else you can get an LG with the detachable second screen, with the same specs for literally half the price.
I'd maybe be tempted if it was cheaper, although I will admit I do prefer LG's detachable approach, because I think MS will have worked hard on the user experience etc.
The bezels make it look very dated. It's an interesting concept though and I'll wait for reviews and see how the software implementation is. If it works well I might even be tempted or be tempted for v2 at least.
Snapdragon 855 and no 5g - MEH
6 gig ram - MEH!
1, I say only 1 camera and it's only 11 mp - MEH!
Just seems a bit half hearted to be fair
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
I had the same sort of reaction - very middle of the road specs for a silly price.
Then it hit me. What if this is really a vehicle for xCloud? Given that its rolling out now for gamepass ultimate subs on android, and is due for a major push around the same time this launches....haven't Microsoft just (re)announced their "Microsoft xDS"?
Bottom screen for controls, top for game display...if it wasn't for the silly price i'd be using phrases like "Its perfect for that" etc.
The best thing about it, other than the dual screens, is that they were brave enough to use Bezels rather than notches, so it doesn't look broken out of the box like so many others atm. Notches need to be excised from the industry as fast as humanly possible.
I will watch with interest but am unlikely to purchase one.
I get what they're trying to do, but the price and looks make this a fail. I just don't see who they're trying to appeal to, especially as the price rules it out for the majority...
its an excelent work platform
Just caught up with me mate Linus and they have said that this is the same price as the S20 Ultra in Canada....

I love the Surface range, this, given Microsofts previous efforts when releasing stuff that was almost feeling like a dipping of the toe experiment, I'm going to pass...
