I like Oculus having had it before and was looking to get a new version, I don't have Facebook and I never ever ever ever will. So won't be buying Oculus again unfortunately.

More data mining! More profit!
I don't get why people care. You don't actually need to use facebook. It's not like they're saying you need to sign in and fill out all the bits and bobs of it.
We all knew this was going to happen eventually....
I'm now predicting some seriously hot action in a VR dogfight to the death. You're flying the latest Faulcon DeLacy heavy combat gunship around Jupiter Station, pulling high G manoeuvres to evade the incoming fire from five Krait ships flown by members of the outlaw Gamma Sigma Alliance. You jig right, jig left, juke all about, carefully tying them up into an ever closing group as they try to draw a bead on you.... Then, as they're so close they're almost colliding, you stab the afterburner and kick the FA off, flipping your ship in a drifting vector 180ยบ. Finally, as your crosshairs slide with poetic beauty into the perfect firing solution and you see the first murderous rounds streaking forth from your spinning autocanons..... and then your vision flips to a wall of utter blackness, your ears deafened by the sudden silence. A second later, you are met by a familiar voice and a well-known logo....
"With Grammarly, writing has never been easier...."
[Insert favourite Ragequit meme here].
So I presume the race is on, to create the most inappropriate 'just for VR' fictional FB profiles, then? Or are we all just going to drop Occulus?
I wonder if this was somehow orchestrated by Steam, as this will massively increase their monopoly with the Vive... at least until Epic exclusively option all the new VR games from under them.
Blimey, this stuff is as predictable and drama-queeny as WWE wrestling!

Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
"It's really easy to" - a lot of things.
But that dont mean you should do those things just for that reason.
I dont understand things like Social media still exist, i assume people have forgotten that before those it was pretty effortless to be social with anyone in the one and only right way.
I have a CV1, I have some games on the oculus store.. do i now have a 2 year expiry on my games and kit? What does "not Full functionality" mean if I refuse to give FB data about how i use my VR kit that they can sell on. Should I start worrying about refunding my games? Does this mean all new Oculus kits are just data collection devices now? Or have we been naive enough that FB already has all this info by simply matching email addresses between an FB account and an Oculus account.
Guess it's time to save my pennies for an Index (or Index2 at that point).
Facebook don't care if you don't sign in. They don't even care if you disable your account
