If you like First person shooters and you're about to blow a shed load of money on an RTX 3090 (I don't and won't but, that's by the by), you've got something to give it a good workout.

Not sure how many times I've done the campaign playing it like that, it's highly enjoyable.

I did do a balls to the wall maximum strength playthrough once but it was easier to just kill everything from afar.

The only crowning glory to most hated things in games ever is the bloody VTOL escape mission!

Lol..all those shiny new 3080's about to be humbled by running out of VRAM at 'Can it run Crysis' settings, before they've even been installed in their new owners PC's

VTOL mission is a doddle provided you have a joystick. I think I even did it on keyboard once too. It was like the jeep scene in Far Cry though. Was it really necessary? Good I suppose and some nice variation but tedious having to rinse and repeat until you work out how to get it right!

It's a doddle but it can still be irritating as heck

It's Crytek and you're thinking of Far Cry which was circa 2004/2005? Crysis was much later late 07/08 with warhead 2009 I think. In 2000 we were playing the likes of Q3, RA2 and Half-Life.

Re: Crytek shares "Can it Run Crysis?" graphic mode image

You may need a beastly machine to play Crysis, but you can play Doom on a pregnancy test.

Or on lots of other things.

My favourites are the card reader and the Spectrum Analyser.

Re: Crytek shares "Can it Run Crysis?" graphic mode image

has nothing to do with 'can it run or will it run crysis'

Has Crytek actually optimized their engine at all, or is it just at the poor state as it was back then?
