What about UK companies being except from CFIUS for exporting products using ARM based technologies?? Its what the co-founders of ARM also were worried about.
Don't believe these promises, they are lies, lies, lies
Easy to make promise, see how many of them get broken once the deal is finalised..
The deal still needs to go through. We'll see what the regulators say then Jensen will have to keep his promises..
Like the promises that were made over Cadbury. Didn't they get round it by a)ignoring the promises and then b) selling to another company who could then say "we never promised that"?

So they want to keep the smart staff, and will have contracts with the people they employ. And this is different from any other company how?
it's not just about how the staff are employed (though comparison to other companies in similar takeovers suggests they will end up worse off) it's about the company being shackled and unable to act as it has been doing due to obligations with US export restrictions on tech and software. Then there is the conflicting priority of trying to develop products that compete with your owner's products while meeting their targets and demands. Given the importance of chip designs the UK should be getting it back and ring fencing this thing not allowing it to be sold.
