Presumably a bi-stable lamination able to roll flat but self-stiffens into a curved form. I used to know someone who did their masters research into those at uni back in the day.

It's a very slight curve. People (for the most part) have no problems reading books, newspapers, maps and other things with greater curvature...

If you do a lot of linear CAD it messes with you. I don't have astigmatism and I don't want to develop it!

Looking around at all the coffee-shop novelists, I'mma guess not.....

Looks crap for image editing too - all you are doing is saving a few mm off having a lid with the screen already in it. Plus,the design exposes the keyboard due to a lack of a lid,so would need a solid case to stop needless button pushes. Looks like an answer looking for a problem. Great for posers!

I have my XPS13 and my colleague has their surface pro and we are (well were) regularly in coffee shops/around meeting tables loading up drawings and chatting through designs etc. Make something portable and people will want to use it accordingly.

TBF,its also fairly annoying many of these premium business laptops don't have AMD options too!

I see most things in shades of black and green, actually...

Doesn't change the fact that most people using a laptop won't be CAD designers, and the screen curvature will have even less of an impact than that of a newspaper or a curved phone display.
