Intel has been having a bad time ever since AMD came up with Ryzen and Threadripper to be fair.
Failed acquisitions....... Better start with the management board first.
Kill off the suites... good start.

Swan has sold off the smartphone modem business, replaced the Nervana NNP chips with Habana's versions, sold off the NAND and SSD product lines (except Optane products). I don't see Swan as having some fault of carrying products that are losing money. Seems like a bogus accusation, if that's what the hedge fund is claiming.
Intel has 4 yrs of new record revenues under Swan, including the projected $75B for 2020.
Swan also responded well to the capacity crunch, increasing capacity by 25% in 2019 and again in 2020.
They have competition, but that was expected.
They have pretty amazing 10sf and 10esf processing upgrades and are shipping 3D fabricated Lakefield chips before the competition.
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Ah the intel fan boy is back again. You still haven't answered the question JayN. Are you in any way paid by, affiliated to, invested in, or receiving any payment/profit/benefit from Intel? It's a really simply question. Much simpler than them trying to shoehorn yet another chip design into 14nm++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
He does this in other threads too. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to debate with JayN, they only seem interested in pro-Intel propaganda. It's almost like they're paid by them or something. Hence the question above (as asked, and not answered, in other threads several times already)
This is the MAJOR problem of the USA stock exchange. FAKE regulators and CEOs simply over-value a company and the LIES fly all over the planet but inside is the lack of innovation, corruption and intellectual theft. I am glad to see Asian companies taking the crown.
Years of dominance in a market place with little competition and then all of a sudden they start to sell up. Seems like they should concentrate on developing the products better and worry less about shareholders!
Innovative groundbreaking manufacturing process! Ignore the dire performance and huge cost, those are secondary considerations. There's what, 2 lakefield design wins? One has an objectively better version with a snapdragon chip in the same chassis, the other is a folding tech demo (which does look neat, but not £2k neat)
"Sell before it's too late", told you.
