This card could probably be a good high mid range card once NVIDIA releases the 12GB version thus driving down the price of this card unless something happens like DRAM shortages etc.

Even if you manage to find one for msrp, these prices for mid tier cards still just seems crazy to me, and I was somebody who reluctantly accepted the price of a 2080 on release...

One more card that exists only on paper, not in shops.

I know this isn't what the partners would want to hear but honestly I have no idea why someone would pay more for these (already a bit too high price wise, even on the founders, imo) when the founders edition is so close performance wise and ultimately cheaper (assuming stock ever appears).

I wouldn't be shocked if the founders cards could overclock to similar levels too, assuming you know what you're doing.

If you are living outside of US then you will not able to get founder edition anyways.
And yes, the founder should overclock to these speeds.

The availability now is even worse than the mining boom times at last in my region.
nvidia just killed all the fun I had on the hype train. ehhh

Nvidia were diverting UK buyers to Scan (iirc, sure it was posted on this forum).

yes more vapourware, I keep seeing posts on my google feeds with one manufacturer or another listing a new version of a 3xxx series card.

Do these ever turn up available for sale ?

hopefully now xmas is out the way stock will pick up making better availability of some of the these cards at closer to rrp

I don't think the RRP was ever even realistic to begin with, at launch everyone thought "wow that's a good deal" and look at it now a grand for a 3080 if your lucky enough to find and stupid enough to buy it
I'm holding back for the 3050 /3050ti and hopefully nearer the £200 mark.

Re: EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming

I dont quite understand these graphs, or at least not the system noise one.
So a 5700 XT are the loudest one idling, but okay my 5700XT are another model but its fans do not move when idling, and i assume many of the other cards are the same.
So shouldent the idle of those GFX cards that stop the fan be the same ? I mean i must assume the fans on other things are the same otherwise you are comparing different systems aside for the GFX card, what are measured here must be the noise of other components if the GFX idling and fans do not move, ergo any noise can not be from the GFX card., or maybe the ambient noise are not the same in the tests.
Or if we are talking reference AMD 5700 XT cards, where they really that loud VS say my red devil card. ?

I dunno just seem off to me.

Re: EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming

28.7 is obviously the ambient noise with the gpu fans off. I don't get your point though, the 31dB idle for the 5700xt is effectively silent.

Also that 3950x is throwing off all the results

They have the specific cards used listed on the "Test methodology" page, and most (including the 5700XT) are reference ones - the original review of the 5700XT didn't mention any semi-passive operation. The 5700XT is an odd one for noise - original hexus tests had it substantially better than nvidia reference designs, but in later testing it came off substantially worse (most likely the original tests were an outlier, as all the other tech websites found it to be loud)
