    I'm all about future proofing but it'll be a cold day in hell when I pay the PCIe4 premium. It's like 50 quid and absolutely unnecessary

    Agreed, but if I'm paying a premium for endurance and IOPS (which for some workstation tasks I occasionally do) then PCIe4 is nice if it doesn't add much more.

    £175?? OUch got a Sabrent Rocket 1TB (which is faster in some tests) before christmas for £115.
