65W 8C/16T with minimal clock speed deficit is kinda crazy.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Sheeee. My 12/24 core idle at 180 watt total system power ( first gen Threadripper )
Depends. Historically many OEM cpus have often been available to buy from the usual online retailers, just without retail packaging and coolers. There are exceptions where products are only available to a small set of big pc manufacturers (e.g. Dell, Lenovo), but they tend not to have big announcements. No idea about warranty, but pretty sure the retailer would still be bound to at least 12 months.
TL;DR Whilst they might show up on eBay first, expect them to be available at your favourite retailer by Easter.
(Just checked Scan: retail and OEM versions of 3900X available for example)

That’s lovely AMD. But I’m still waiting on availability of your bog standard 5900X 2 months after it released.
It’s all very diversifying your offering, but you might want to actually get some bloody product in the supply line before you go making fanfare about the next thing.
There is a difference between a retail 3900X in a box with a fan and a tray 3900X which doesn't come with a fan. Scan will sell you a 3600 without a fan at a slight discount as well, but those are parts that are also available retail.
In the past OEM only parts usually leak into the enthusiast retail scene pretty fast, but lately that doesn't seem to happen. For example if i want a 4750G, I basically have to go onto the ebuyer website and buy a machine that includes it, which is only OK if you have use for 16GB of slow DDR4 ram and a 250W psu.
Bundled mobo/cpu/ram combos will hopefully pick these parts up again, but that limits the vendors you can use quite a lot.
