    Latest Alder Lake-S benchmarks have it beating the Core i9-9900K

    Even though Geekbench doesn't appear to know what to do with the ES hybrid core config.

    'Leaked' benchmarks have to be taken with a pinch of salt, of course, but it's reassuring that it looks to be performing decently at non-final clocks. Alder Lake is definitely shaping up to be one of Intel's most interesting releases in quite some time, IMO.

    I would honestly not be surprised if Intel somehow managed to make the power consumption increase with the smaller cores added.

    That's quite possible because interconnects also take power, and they'll be gluing those chips together somehow.

    Iv been waiting for years for socket 1700 with DDR5. glad to see its finally going to be released relatively soon.
