Exactly, outside of a few niche use cases in monitors (>120Hz 4k gaming comes to mind), TB4 is pretty much superior to everything, apart maybe from hyperfast networking

If only it wasn't curved.... curved screen suck for design, they're fine for office work but the curves distort straight lines, colour shift (even with IPS) etc.

If this was a straight competitor to the LG 5K, I'd be all over it. Sadly, I'm also not a fan of curved monitors, and would prefer a monitor at a sane size, say 27 inch.

Intel just need to use PCIe 5.0 or PCIe 6.0 with the next gen Thunderbolt. Increase the spec to support 200w charging. There are now Thunderbolt 4 devices coming out every month but fewer USB4 only devices. It is funny how Thunderbolt is the key reason why I haven’t gone with AMD.

I'll never go with a Lenovo monitor ever again and recommend no-one else does either. They don't seem to do any sort of user testing. I have a G34W and on paper its a fantastic monitor. The first one I got had backlight flickering issues, issues with the 2 panels they used to make the monitor being clearly visible and issues with Freesync, as well as an issue with the monitor selecting the wrong DP mode when turning on Freesync.

It took them over 5 months to send me a replacement too - the replacement is like a totally different monitor - they have upgraded the Freesync version to Freesync Premium which seems to have resolved the issues there and the backlight is perfect. The panels are clearly a lot better than on the previous one too.

However, this one still isn't perfect - it has an issue with displaying a black screen on switching inputs about 50% of the time and still occasionally has the issue with selecting the wrong DP version when enabling Freesync. I can live with it now though, but I really wouldn't suggest Lenovo for a monitor.
