Microsoft Paint finally coming to the Microsoft Store

And the Snipping Tool is going to be serviced the same way too – via Store updates.

I hated the tiles on Win 10 , made the front end look like a childs phone. I'm using Openshell to bring back some elegance to my desktop. As for these new icons ,bah , look like something out of a nursery school colouring book , prefer much older ones. All this might save a few milliseconds if that but with the graphics and Cpu power we have now I think a more elegant and refined desktop is a nicer thing to see.

I think this annoys me more than Notepad because I occasionally use paint

Can't wait for them to butcher the OS even more. As it stands, Windows 10 is bloatware crap. Add stuff like this to the mix, and we have more bloatware crap.

What a disaster of an OS...

If it's available via Store, than maybe we can also uninstall it. I like the sound of that.

Re: Microsoft Paint finally coming to the Microsoft Store

When i have installed windows 10 on my computer, the first order of the day are now sadly uninstalling a lot of poo, and disable another ton of poo.

I do use paint to resize and crop in pictures, but i dont need it to have fancy new icons.

I do hate when companies give me what i dont want, thats the main reason i can not find any game worth playing anymore.

That's the problem. The real value of Paint and Notepad is that they're always available. If you need to edit a config file or resize a photo you can guarantee on any Windows machine that those tools are there and will do the job.

Take that away and they're pointless. People will either do without (fine till you need a text editor/image manipulator,) or if they're having to install something anyway will go with something fuller featured like Notepad++ or GIMP.
