I like! much more sensible to me than a modular mobile phone.
Fingers crossed it isn't a) rubbish and b) expensive so it gets enough support and sales to actually survive for some time.

I like the concept - and whilst I don't think there is a *lot* of value for consumers in the whole thing being as modular as they are offering - I do really like the expansion card concept. Like a modern version of the PCMCIA slot.

it would be nice to see that concept expanded by other manufacturers, given that it basically looks like an interior USB-C slot that avoids having external dongles sticking out of the side of the laptop - very neat innovation imo.

Indeed, that slot appeals to me also. I sniffed at first when I saw it was just USB-C but then thought how much sense that makes for people who need a constant plug in device and don't want the dongle dingle-dangling.

I like that a lot it's a pity they don't have an AMD version though, perhaps it'll be a board upgrade in the future.

Concept looks great and I hope the build quality is good. The worry as always is will it take off and last? I hope so because I would seriously consider this for my next laptop.

As I'm not a laptop user i maybe speaking out of turn but not having modular battery, screen, and webcam seem to be missing a trick. Like i said I'm not a laptop user but i would've thought those are things that people would like to swap and be fairly simple, at least easier than the ports, to implement.

I would love a 15in workstation version, I would certainly maintain the chassis and keep upgrading as long as I could.

I love the the little addin USB-C slots, I think they're fantastic and I can adapt my laptop on the fly depending on what job I need to do. Even for my users in the company, I could just purchase the chassis and then adapt their configuration as per their needs meaning I could just purchase 80x chassis and sufficient adapters and configure to order.

If only it was based on AMD CPU...

I'll get one as soon as they have 15"+ models.

Indeed, that's the worry for me. If the company doesn't last then the parts aren't available in 2-3 or so years when I might consider an upgrade. Then it's a pointless exercise.
