Truly one of the few companies that made a real profit from crypto mining...by whacking their prices up to obscene levels just because they can.

Why not? people are buying them at inflated prices. Are we insane? Probably. All it would take is one month of no-one, at all, giving people cash for stupidly priced cards. BOOM. The prices will fall.
Oh well. Might be able to justify buying a 2060 next year.
Yes, Nvidia don't get the inflated gpu prices, they just sell at the same cost they announced when the cards came out. They do however get to sell everything they make, and they would have probably done that even if crypto didn't exist due to covid as lockdown's made everyone want new pc hardware. Beyond that the reason they are doing so well is datacentre - a few years ago gaming was by far the largest contributor, now they make just as much money from datacentre (revenue may be a bit lower but I bet the mark up and hence profits are higher).

Anyone seen or heard anything about the 3080Ti coming in an FE option?
Thats probably the only way I'll be getting one as I imagine the AIB cards will cost the same or more than the 3090FE...

Wonder if Scan will release a statement on their existing rules changing or not, I got the 3060Ti incase I couldn't get a 3080, the plan being to upgrade again if I could and stick the 3060Ti in a machine for one of the offspring, however they then added the rule that you could only have one 30x card, so, will those rules change or not I wonder, and how much stock are they actually going to get...
Theres only so many times you can explain to a teenage girl that she cant play on D3 on her Surface 3 before she becomes a nightmare lol
Yet where is the perpetual underdog AMD?? Nowhere. You can't even get their GPUs easily(or anywhere near RRP),very hard to find them in laptops/prebuilt desktops,and now they are going to make another new console for Valve(apparently).
It looks like Nvidia wasn't so dumb to have used Samsung 8NM after all!
