I was about to say this would be a fantastic classic arcade unit but that RR APU only has 3 execution units so would be unfortunately quite underpowered for that which is a shame.

It has a hardware of a cheap laptop, it is impossible to expect good performance even just running modern browsers. But for gaming, why not, it should run original crysis.

It seems a touch pricey for a taste of nostalgia competing against the two big players at a similar price structure. And also the company that almost destroyed the gaming market in the U.S back in the 80's, perhaps they should half these current prices so it is more appealing.

Does seem a tad overpriced in all honesty, I like the idea but at those sort of prices (and we all know it would be at least £299 in the UK) you start looking at other options.

They are Atari in name only... bought out by various third parties over the last few decades. Nothing apart from branding and old I.P. remains from the 70's / 80's era.

And that was already the case in the era of the Atari ST which was launched after Atari had mostly folded and the home computer part was acquired by ex-Commodore Jack Tramiel something like Atari Inc. vs the later Atari Corporation while Atari Inc. became Atari Games.

Looks like another Atari product is heading straight to the landfill.

I like the idea of the item but as everyone says it's a little bit expensive for what it is. Still I'd buy it at maybe £199.99 until then it's a meh from me though

Indeed that is true, I believe Infogrames bought the Atari name and changed their name to Atari
