So, cheaper than buying an AIB RX 6900 XT?

If AMD and nVidia would limit crypto mining capabilities to only be performant on these and Quadro cards the world would be a happier place.

This is actually equivalent to a RX 6800 aside from double the memory. The W6900X hasn't been released (yet).
While I don't dislike reference blowers as much as most people since they are good at expelling air, I could see this getting rather loud.

Might be an improvement, but also likely to pass the pain to game studios (and other industries) who'd face a shortage of the cards their artists and designers need.

Now if only they could get the same level of support that nvidia (or more specifically cuda) does in the 'professional' programs I use.

I've long been a fan of the 'value' that the radeon pro (or firegl as they were called) have in the professional graphics card market but because they generally rely on opencl (which is pretty poor these days) for things like gpu rendering (solidworks visualise is pretty niche) they just don't get the same support as cuda by developers (vray, who dropped opencl, for example).

AMD really needs to make a simple to integrate cuda competitor for these because it's pretty clear opencl isn't working.

The Navi23 GPU in the W6600 appears to boost to around 2.9GHZ and only has a 100W TDP too:

I know it's aimed at "professionals", but I've got to query the gaming performance. Given the drastic pricetags on 'gamer' cards at the moment, it might just be smarter of me to invest in the professional card. 32GB? That's a lot of room for 4k Skyrim textures, etc.

In my experience (more on nvidia than amd) the professional cards are generally pretty similar 'clock to clock' as their gamer focused versions, drivers aren't quite so heavily optimised for games either. However most professional cards are usually clocked a little slower and can have slightly slower ram speeds too.

So if I was to put a number on it you'd likely see around 90-95% of the performance.

650 - good cost/performance, please, make enough so that a normal user could buy it too! It would be a perfect one to work with solidworks,, mb also with rhino.
