Radeon 7 never had shortages... No-one wanted to buy it, but 16 GB of faster RAM than a 3090 (25% faster, once you account for PAM4) wasn't a limiting factor in availability or cost
Supply had improved by then. But I was talking about Vega10. The first models released were Radeon Instinct models,but AMD had to also go to Samsung to get enough HBM2 supplies for both these and the consumer models. Apparently Samsung also charged more,which is why you had all that limited time pricing when Vega64 and Vega56 launched.
