Can't help but think that, if Microsoft don't relax the requirements, they're going to have another Windows 8 on their hands.
Don't want Win 11

Wasn't Windows 10 supposed to get one major, one minor, update each year?
Day one. Windows 11 on my desktop and Surface Pro. It's the future even if we don't like it. Intel Mac owners also have a software upgrade path.
Win 11 isn't going anywhere near my desktop or my Surface Pro on day 1. I don't yet know if it'll ever go anywhere near either, ever. I'm still waiting to get a clearer grasp on what W11 does that I like/want, and what it does that I don't like, and/or won't put up with.
If the "like" column wins out, I'll put it on but nowherenear day 1.
If the "no way" column wins out, I'll stay with W10 on both until end-of-support (and I mean security stuff) then either take them both off the net, or perhaps take the main desktop off-net, and I admit I will get a wry laugh from sticking Ubuntu on the Surface Pro.
My mind is still open, until the actual final state of 11, not based on beta's, is clear. I won't know which way I'll go until then so, I guess, probably at least a year away.

I won't upgrade as soon as possible, wait until my PC gets it's turn in the rollout. All ready to go though as my motherboard (Asus Prime X470-Pro) has TPM which can be enabled in the UEFI (firmware TPM). Confirmed it is ready for use and version 2.0, by using "tpm.msc".
I would urge everyone to wait, apart from it being common sense its also a pressure point on Microsoft.
I find it kind of ironic that the biggest thing in the feedback hub for years was bring back aero... the yhave kind of done that but at what cost?
Win 11 here on work pc as a Microsoft Insider. Works great, zero issues. Really can't see what the fuss is all about
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
I'd suggest it's as much (or really, much more) about what they've said than what it does.
I'm on the fence about what it does. I'm waiting for the real product, and then for the real world reaction, before I even get interested in properly looking at it.
But I'd argue their PR has been diabolical. World class lousy.

zero compatibility issues. Absolutely everything works just as it did on Win 10 but a bit faster

Very interested in the GPU compute support for Linux WSL as we have a lot of machine learning devs dual booting at the moment and it is playing havoc with our Bitlocker, TPM and other areas.
If they can use WSL to do their DL testing prior to deployment to our cluster without having to boot into Linux and instead maintain being on Windows without having too much of a slowdown, I may push for its use.
