But can I play it without DRM ruining it for me?
Single player content??? Colour me surprised after the last one. Still given the way COD tends to keep its price it'll be a long time before I play. Too old to be interested in multiplayer now. They should sell the single player separately for the over 40s like me who no longer have the finger skills.

If you have not played them, you can get both pretty cheap at the moment and are both well worth it for the single player campaigns imo.
The Multiplayer is still pretty trash though (especially cold war....it just feels so old and outdated)..but then they have Warzone now, which is much, much better!
I am pretty sure this too will not be a game for me as i like games like the original call of duty, though as i recall even that dident even have CTF game mode, but forced me to play TDM which is also sort of okay.

I was expecting there to be a new version of warzone, perhaps set in the cold war era. Meh, I've played enough WW2 CODs, doubt I'll be getting this.
Really? Outdated compared to what? I think Cold War multiplayer is excellent, particularly visually.
The jumping from 30fps to 60fps in the video made my brain bleed... jesus..

Because its the last proper war America won, so yeah its really starting to get tired the way they keeping coming back to it especially as they try to shoe-horn contemporary social views into it.Another one set in this era? Zzzzzz.
They have said this is an alt-history WW2 were it didn't end, they really should just go and make their own universe like Ace Combat and stop relying on real world events.
America didn't win it , think you'll find a combined effort from numerous countries including America won this.
I do know that I was just explaining the cultural motivation in USA.
This why CoD keeps coming back to it because they've got nothing else, the last CoD WW2 game did not do so well and now we get alt-ww2 with anime gun skins and other nonsense to try and make it relevant.
I'm enjoying Cold War but don't think I'll buy the new one. but enjoying multiplayer.
I enjoyed COD WW2. Unfortunately they updated it, borked it and I can't run it any more. I'm giving it another go after a year. I think it's something to do with cached files but they won't let me completely freshly reinstall it as if from fresh. It *has* to save my keyboard bindings, my GPU settings, my saved progress.... I don't want it and I can't make it go away as part of troubleshooting. It's downright infuriating.
So in this game we can expect the first LGBTQ+ playable character,,,,,,,,,,, well thats something to look forward to, i so wanted to play a war game as Max Klinger from MASH.

I've been informed that at the same time as this releases they'll be releasing a new Warzone map, so that's pretty exciting.
