Kinda would like a bare laptop that is a KVM with USB3 hub and works with DEX. Can be cheapish, works with your phone so you are upgrading the gubbins as you upgrade your phone and it ties you in to the Samsung system.

I do kind of like the idea of this stuff but I dislike that it is tying us down more and more into a locked down infrastructure. But, when I use a laptop, I'm usually not doing anything particularly interesting.

You mean something like the nextdock?

The hardware is more than ready, unfortunately only Samsung and Huawey invested in the software side (and even them kind of half-assed it).

Other companies, like Asus for example, made a specific very nice dock but did little to no work on the software side. Motorola also launched something similar to dex last year but it was not very publicized which tells me it also sucked
