Oh, goody. That should scratch my nostalgia gaming itch nicely. I just need it on GOG now.

It is still a brilliant game - and one of the best things is....you don't need a mouse or WSAD!

It's a bit odd to get used to again, but Quake is a perfect game to play on a laptop....its just as fluid using the Arrow keys, with control to shoot, space to jump, and A Z for pitch. After 10 minutes I was 10 years old again ;D

Still one of my favourite FPS's to blast through.

I have to admit affter downloading it and trying it again after <cough> .....quite a few years, it still retains it's charms and deathmatch it's still as good or better than anything else out there.
Now if I can onbly get the hang of rocket jumping and learn the maps again I doubt you'd notice my 25 year older relfexes .

Umm... eh? Plug in a mouse and play it properly?? Might be easier.

P.s. I don't use WASD. I also use the arrow keys. Makes more sense.

I never used a mouse back when I played Quake to death in the 90s it didn't even have proper mouse support really (you could manually enable it with +mlook the console, but by default...you couldn't really use a mouse properly).
You can see it in the game design also - there's nothing that requires you to use mouse look anywhere in the main game due to how the aiming works.

So for the nostalgic experience I was looking for, there was no way I was going to use a mouse

Can you play this on a 'Creator's' computer, as I know that it'll work on a standard machine? Asking for a friend.

P.s. Bought on day 1. Can't wait to play this bad boy. I miss the Can o'beans and grappling hook expansions.
