Everyone and their mums are designing CPUs round here!
Like who?
Big multi billion dollar corporations.
Who else?
Big multi billion dollar corporations mums.
But seriously, Google would be fools not to be looking into this, they're already looking at it for the Pixel series
I do wonder if we are beginning to see the beginning of the end of the x86 architecture.
I wouldn't say the beginning of the end, the beginning of its evolution, maybe. In the light of ARM and RISC-V starting to grow more and more prominent, it is going to have to adapt to stay ahead, its advantage being the primary ISA in use by 95% of classical computing is going to slowly wane if it does nothing.
but I am anti closed source. Soon..... the 'ARM' flavor of our cpu run android 50% faster. Coz these guyz included really dark-ish binaries to snail run on none proprietie-sh hardware.
