    Nvidia ends support for Windows 7 and 8, as well as Kepler GPUs

    On the positive side, the GeForce v496.13 WHQL driver is optimised for Back 4 Blood.

    The article doesn't mention Linux or Apple. Neither does it suggest dropping Windows for another OS.

    For those effected by the change it's probably best to buy a newer graphics card or update to Windows 10/11. Rather then change their whole workflow, especially if they are happy with the Windows ecosystem.

    My mum is somehow still using my old 8800GT on Windows 10. It isn't going to suddenly stop working.

    lol nothing will stop working, its just it will no longer be suported..... hell theres people building 486's with 3dfx cards that still work

    Nvidia are such a-holes they actively sabotage open source driver development in a number of ways, this is why open source drivers for Nvidia hardware are in a terrible state.

    AMD/Intel on the other hand support open source GPU drivers and even very old GPU's continue to get occasional driver improvements.

    ISTR that Kepler are the last cards with decent open source Linux support.
