    I'm not sure I'd pick up a Core Duo laptop at the moment - the depreciation on their value seems rather too high - the Dell model has dropped in price about £100 a week since launch... when there's a few more models on the market and the prices have plateaued, then I'll start looking at them... nice CPU, though.

    its either that or a macbook for me. thats just a damn small machine and it looks quite good too and its a ibm(ok then lenovo) so there damn near indestructable

    Looks to me like it's still got the good old IBM hinges. Maybe I'm brutal with my laptops, but I've broken the hinges on 3 ibm laptops now...
