    Gigabyte's mobile-on-desktop Viiv mainboard

The combined high performance and low power consumption of modern mobile processors makes them a great candidate for use in desktop PCs, particularly in the living room. Of course, it's been done already, numerous times, so it's no surprise that Intel's Core processors are getting the same treatment as their predecessors, like with this new motherboard from Gigabyte.

    Its happening

Question is - does it make sense for companies to do these boards when Core2 is likey to launch in July.

Thus - the price of these boards is high.

Intel is also likely to debut 965 at the same time
