    Sony 'mould-breaking' LCD monitors

Harassed office workers will be relieved to know that Sony is set to "break the mould" with its E Series monitor range, arriving June 19.

oh geez! a place for my post it notes...

this would be welcome if it didn't mean that I had to pay more. Seriously, if Sony expects me to pay for their brand name, they can take a long walk off a short pier. Because I can come up with my own "creative places" for post it notes and pens.

What I'd really like to see is 19" LCDs with a smaller pixel pitch. Most current 19" LCDs feature a 0.294 pixel pitch, and after recently upgrading to a widescreen display with a 0.258 pixel pitch I can now see the difference. Now that is the type of feature I'd consider paying something extra for ... NOT a different casing so I can stick post it notes on it.

I'd suspect this would be something a HR manager would see and think that'll make a difference to my lemmings. I'll take that and order through out IT budget.

Gimmicky things appeal to the small minded. if it was an extra tenner, I'd go for it.

Just get a really old monitor with a 2"-3" border for, oh, NOTHING and postit stamp it to oblivion.

    LOL

It is foinf to be £400 easily for a £150 worth piece of kit, at best.

umm, or go down to homebase and buy a sheet of acrylic, cut sections out of it, and glue it to your monitor....
