    USB missile launcher - just the job for inter-desk warfare

    There may be better ways for deskbound office workers to let off steam but we'd settle for a USB missile launcher that's fired from a simulated radar-tracking screen on a PC.

    More in this HEXUS.headline.

    Oh, and I didn't know whether or not this would be far too childish for HEXUS.gaming people, so emailed our gaming editor Nick Haywood to ask. His reply was:

    You can quote me on this…

    Oh ****ING ROCK ON!!!

    Update

    Odd, that. A whole bunch of asterisks have appeared in the quote.

    Ha! This will definitely be getting bought, might finally be able shut the woman up talking to her mates on the phone infront of me! Finally some payback for having to listen to endless stories about how cute her kids are!

    The device needs an upgrade though. Since it is already a USB device, it should include a webcam for remote sighting purposes, just a 1 or 2 fps update rate would be fine, then you can aim from your monitor to your remote missile batteries.

    I give it 6 months until there are bluetooth remote-controlled attack helicopters available. The missiles are nice but I'd be first in the queue for a chopper

    rather dsturbed by the sudden interest in these things. the regster has done two articles recently and now hexus has done one. to be honest there f***ing cool. but why the sudden interest when theyve been availble for at the very least a year and a half?

    Gotta get me one of those.

    Trying to play and write the Titan Quest review and my 5yr old son keeps asking questions and bumping into me because he is standing so close (kinda ofputting). Wonder how much of a deterrent this would actually be ?!

    Great stuff. If i was not the only person in my office (hardly ever in it, well doing proper work anyway) i would buy one for sure.

    What would be even better is if one of those great indoor helicopters had rockets too

    * Is the turret mechanised or do you turn it and change the elevation by hand?

    * Roughly, what's the range?

    * Care to give us a decent screenie of the PC interface?

    * Would you buy one again?
