tbh if i was to be considering new sli or crossfire then i would just buy a new psu, to add another with the extra heat , plug etc seems a bit on the lazy side, if you have to open the case to put a new card in then a psu isnt that much extra work ....
I'm of the opinion that if it is as solid at supply as FSP claim, then it could actually work. And, if you buy sensibly, it could even save you some money via combined purchase costs, electricity bills and upgrade costs.
As part of a planned PC upgrade it has merit, and I can see it appealing to the enthusiast too. Best tool for any particular job and all that, if it works and fits in with the rest of a system, surely?

This is a pretty cool little PSU actually
solid and stable under load and should be able to handle anything today's GPU's can throw at it

Wouldn't mind seeing a full featured PSU of similar size. Would open up a lot of space in some cases. Thats not going to be a huge market though
I'm curious as to how it's gets it's power surely you wont have a kettle style lead dragging through the inside of your case.
Groovy but my Hiper Type R modular only cost £59 - its SLi certified as well.
Certainly would look cool in one of the front bays I guess, not entirely sure its necessary though.

I think it seems a nice idea but I don't like the physical appearance of it. One thing that always puts me off Thermaltakes front bay devices, for example, is the cheesey looks of them. I think this new psu is a neat idea but looks poor, and I wouldn't want one for that reason.

I like a clean neat simple system and using an improved internal PSU looks better than using this, plus youcan get bigger gains with less distortion.
What the largest size fans that fits into a 5.25" bay? 40mm? FSP are optimistic if they think two high speed spinnning 40mm fans are going to be anywheree close to quiet...
They quietish at idle but they spin up pretty whiney
