I wanted the PS3 as i enjoy playing games such as Formula one. I have to say that Formula one 06 looked great!
Oh well think i might as well give up on the PS3 and get the 360! Really ticks me off that Sony still cant get it right!!
I bet Microsoft are rubbing their hands together regards Xmas sales!
Should mean a huge market share lead for Microsoft especially if they can get some key titles like Gears of War and Forza (maybe even Halo3??) onto the shelves and marketed in time for christmas.

re: importing, is the PS3 going to be region free or will importing mean that I could only use imported games?
Also I think in the PAL territories there will be 2 Christmases where the 360 has been unchallenged - this will give it a big lead, there will be alot of kids this year getting a 360 I think.
I should think this thing will be 'Regioned' to the hilt as that seems to be one of the ideas behind Blu-Ray and its DRM.
They have definitley missed out on a lucrative Christmas here but March is a good time to bring out a console as nothing else will be happening in the console market.
Not just MS rubbing their hands...this is a real boon for Nintendo too, a free run of a brand new console into Christmas!

Games are supposed to be region free, but Movies deffo won't be..
To cap it all off they've lumped Europe in the same region as Africa and that's it, so we won't even be able to watch the Japanese imports like we currently can with DVD's..

Microsoft and Nintendo are going to love this. Now for Christmas the kids will get a choice between these 2 consoles pushing their market share even higher.
