Latest portable media player from Apple is the quirkily-named but well-intentioned iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition. Each one sold will generate US$10 for the fight against HIV and AIDS, with the money going to the Red Campaign's global fund.
The red aluminium 4GB model can play video (at 640x480 pixels) and show stills, as well as output music. It's said to hold up to 1,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format or up to 25,000 photos. The rechargeable battery is reckoned to be good for up to 24 hours of music playback or five hours of slideshows with music.
