Nice review and it looks good, but I wouldn't mind to see some further out screens of the actual gameplay rather than all close in shots. That's what most people will see in-game

Totally understand. If I had a dev kit version I could take some shots, but it's the retail version so unfortunately have to stick with those the developer has taken.

Ah fair enough - i spose it's just that the demo wasn't that much better than PES 6 and I wanted to see if the real game looked good too

Yeah I hated the demo. It really is different gameplay wise compared to the demo. I don't think it's a million miles from Pro Evo on the graphics within the actual game, but cutscenes and animations definitely shade it.

I guess pro evo6 is still the top football game overall.

Pro Evo fans will definitely say the Pro Evo is as good as ever and I wouldn't disagree with them. The fact that loads of options, such as being to edit team names, has been ommitted feels a bit lazy by Konami and I still stand by the fact that Fifa 07 is better as an online experience, but Pro Evo as a single player football game still shades it, but the presentation of FIFA 07, coupled with a huge improvement on the gameplay and the way EA have improved so much on the series wins my vote as the best football game this year.

I'm in agreement with Steven on this one, although I should point out that I don't own PES 6 yet, I've only played it at a friends house and as a result haven't had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with it.

However my impressions are that FIFA 07 is the football game of the year, in my opinion. It's just improved way too much where as PES 6 hasn't raised the bar much at all, in fact it may have lowered it slightly.

I've always liked previous Pro Evo games, they were far superiour to their FIFA counterparts but with PES 6 they haven't done enough. It doesn't make full use of the Xbox 360 and in my estimation doesn't warrant the upgrade from PES 5.

FIFA 07 on the other hand is miles ahead of any other FIFA game and makes really good use of the Xbox 360's abilities, most notably on Xbox Live.
