Bear in mind, we think these are concept images. Which doesn't mean the graphics will look as good as this.

In fact one of them looks as though it's real soldiers in a field.

so I'd assume CoD4 will probably be based on the Vietnam or the Iraq War?... well, judging from those concept arts..

I hope that it is not like bf2 style game (not modern), I want to see more ww2 battles and not tons or American ons. I want to see more British infantry war game for once.

Finally moving forward in time? Warrior armoured car and a few M16's. Now i wasn't at the D-day landing I admit, but I'm reliably informed those little toys came a little too late for WW2. Uniforms are still pre-80's though.

Whatever it is it looks pretty

Well it's not a high enough res to tell for sure. but it looks like a real shot taken for the foreground and then a digital painting for the backdrop, cleverly blended. Very common for concept shots.

The rumours heavily suggest it is a more recent war and from the American perspective.

Its based on the Iraq war!

Finally, was wondering when someone would release one, BF2 is even worth speaking of...

And that was the current camouflage the US military was issued they now have some "digi" desert camouflage and those ARE real photographs, the explosion is from an IED, I aw that on ogrish or something.

Good on Infinity Ward for finally bringing the war telling to the modern age, CoD was the best one, I'm sick of WW2 games.

Remember, given the amount of cameras and camcorders that are available in the world to day, the Iraq war has disturbingly little coverage or live reporting.

Although being a game, it will give us a taste of what real warfare is like in the concrete jungle

That said, I have the utmost respect to the men and women who fight wars currently and in the past and I mean no disrespect for having a lust for wargames.

Afterall, war is a joy to those who have never experienced it.

Don't be surprised to hear its a hoax though.

Yah looks ok, I enjoyed BF2 but the single player was non-existant and the multi-player was vehicle centric, i'd like to see a more balanced concept.

But if this is concept art then I am not excited...the game would be a long way off.
