    HEXUS.reviews :: Creative GigaWorks T20 speakers

    We take a look at Creative's GigaWorks T20 speakers. Setting you back £60 and offering only 2-channel sound, are they worth it?

    The 'Find out this this HEXUS.review' Link on the front page takes me to something about ECS graphics cards, not a speaker review.

    After reading: Kind of a weird article. It's not so much of a review as a 'my first impressions' type piece - there are no objective facts testing frequency responce or distortion, and there are no comparisons to other speakers. We can't tell if for 60 quid we can get better or worse than these.

    As an example I bought some Altec Lansing mx5020 2.0 speakers a while ago - they look better than the Creative ones on a desk, their technical specs aren't too disimilar (better range on the mx5020, but more W for the Creative) and in describing them I'd probably say exactly the same things - crisp, very capable etc. etc. Yet they're half the price.

    Kalniel,

    You're right, it was done with a 'first impressions' thought in mind, seeing what the user thought of a pair of £60 speakers 18 months on from the last set, so more of a personal take than listing numerous specs.

    I've modified the titling to reflect that it's more of a preview than full-on review.

    Thanks.
