Well you can flash the phones firmware - Lots of people have been upgrading to the music edition. So i am pretty sure that you can find an unlocked vertion of the firmware.

Yep just give them a ring I know orange for sure unock the newer phones for £20 on payg. AFAIK it is illegal for a phone on payg to be sold as locked, so they have to give you an unlcok code however chargin for it is at their discretion!

I've got a mate who had an n73 - it was real slow beforehand but then he flashed it to the latest firmware and it was rather spritely afterwards! So after you've sorted the unlocking out, it may be worth flashing it to the latest firmware. Just a heads up Sony Ericsson have their own program to do this, but I'm not sure if Nokia are doing such a thing as of yet.

Is there any offers atm similar to the 7600 on 3? its going to need replacing sometime soon but somehow I doubt my chances of finding a unlockable phone for £45 ready to use on PAYG.
