Sony Ericsson will offer Vista-compatible PC-Suite soon!

I've been using Vista for about a month and have been a little miffed that SE's PC software won't work on it. I decided to drop SE a quick line and ask about compatibility.

Sceptical as I am of Sony I didn't expect a reply for a few weeks, but to my surprise seven minutes later I had the following turn up in my inbox:

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.

With regards to your enquiry, PC Suite is planned to support Windows Vista in Q2 2007.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again for further help and support.

    Kind Regards,
Hopefully not too long to wait then, although we may well find it's available here five months after everywhere else and will cost more to boot

TBH, i always found it pretty pants anyway. Far better off keeping everything on a mem card and using a card reader IMO.

PC Suite for smartphones is a little better. With Outlook 2007 it even syncs the associated photos with my phone so emails is OL have the same pic in the top right corner as texts on my phone.

Just a shame you can't sync your texts into a special inbox or folder. Would be nice if your call history synced with your Jounral too.

That's how I use my PDA - but with my K800i each time I remove/reinsert my memory card my ringtones etc default back to their original settings which is a tad annoying. Plus the memory card cover on that phone is a pain in the arse, every time you open it it feels like you're going to break the thing.

grrrr! why can't they combine the PC suites? so if you have it installed you can use it with any phone. even if they limited it to the newer generations (with the fastport for example) that would be fine.
